JourneyReady Support
JourneyReady is an independent study aid for Alberta welder apprentices (Periods 1–3) and anyone preparing for the interprovincial Red Seal Welder (456A) exam. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT), the Government of Alberta, the Red Seal Program / CCDA, Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), NAIT, SAIT or any school or government body. Our practice questions are original, not official exam questions, and we can't guarantee exam results.
Contact: support@journeyready.ca. We aim to reply within 3 business days.
Report a mistake in a question or lesson
We fix confirmed errors in the next update. Please include:
- The question or lesson (copy the first few words, or the question ID if shown)
- What you think is wrong, and your source if you have one (code, standard, textbook)
- App version (shown under Settings as "Version")
Please don't send us real exam questions or any confidential exam material. If you do, we'll delete it.
Beta testers
- Thank-you code: if you tested the TestFlight beta, email support@journeyready.ca and quote the code word from the TestFlight "What to Test" notes to claim a free thank-you code. Codes are limited (50 in total). We use your email only to send the code; we won't add you to a mailing list.
- Feedback: use TestFlight's feedback (screenshot or "Send Beta Feedback"), or email us.
Purchases
- Restore Purchases: open JourneyReady → Settings → Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account you bought with.
- Refunds: Apple handles all payments and refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com (Apple's refund help). We can't issue refunds or see your payment details.
- Family Sharing: in-app purchases are not shared with Family Sharing members.
- What each purchase unlocks: a Period Pass unlocks one period (the Period 3 Pass also includes one full-length, fixed 125-question 456A practice exam with an optional 4-hour timer); All-Access unlocks all three periods plus the full 456A practice bank.
Common questions
- Does it need internet? No. Everything is on your phone after you download it.
- Is my progress backed up? Progress is stored on your device only. It's included in your normal iPhone backups (iCloud Backup or computer), if you use them. There's no account or cloud sync.
- How do I reset my progress? Settings → Erase all study progress. This can't be undone.
- Android? Not yet.
- Is this the official exam? No. JourneyReady is not an official exam, and our practice questions are original, not real exam questions. They're written to the published curriculum topics. Always check current exam information with your provincial apprenticeship authority; in Alberta, that's Tradesecrets (tradesecrets.alberta.ca), which also covers Alberta period exams and exam booking. For official sample questions, the self-assessment and the Exam Preparation Guide, see your trade's page on red-seal.ca.
- Audio narration won't play. Check the silent switch and the volume, then try again. If it still fails, email us your app version and the lesson name.
Privacy. The app itself doesn't send any personal data to us, and your progress stays on your iPhone. If you email us, we use your message only to help you. See the Privacy Policy. Emails to support@journeyready.ca are received and stored by US-based providers; see section 9 of the Privacy Policy.
